100 YEARS OF
FAMILY FARMING
Will established OX3 Greens in 2020.
Over 100 years previous in 1919, Oxford University College, Christ Church, acquired the Elsfield Estate and Will's Great, Great Grandfather became a tenant on one of the many farms. His family have remained tenants of Christ Church ever since.
Some notable dates over the last century:
1919
Will's Great, Great Grandfather moves to the family farm
1939 - 1945
The farm provides accommodation and work for families displaced during the war
1950's
Mechanisation - The farm purchased its first tractors, replacing the dozens of horses working the land
1970's
Drainage systems are installed, radically transforming the accessibility and productivity of the land
Early 2000's
The farm is badly impacted by the Foot & Mouth outbreak
2010's
Technology continues to transform farming practices
